Our job is to foster opportunities for families to be together.

Sometimes the most difficult challenge for those in critical care is to be near loved ones. Read below about how the Tom Bajo Endowment enables families to stay connected.

Helping those in critical care, one day at a time.

When a patient is brought into critical care, it is common for loved ones to be there in support. This can lead to significant financial strain on the families, putting into question if they will have food, transportation, and shelter, as they may not be living in the same communities and could actually be traveling from across the country or state.

The Tom Bajo Endowment purpose recognizes that these individuals in the patient’s life are an important factor in the road to recovery, and our efforts seek to enable their participation and presence.

We’re the second-closest people to the patient.

The Tom Bajo Endowment is led by a small army of doctors and nurses— the individuals directly in charge of the patient’s medical care and recovery. This gives us a unique and empathetic view into their needs and those of their loved ones, allowing us to contribute immediately on an as-needed basis.

Built from a mighty, nation-wide community.

Our physicians, nurses, medical team members, volunteers, and donors are actively involved from across the United States. Thanks to these individuals and their far-reaching network, the Tom Bajo Endowment raised over $100K in its first year. We continuously focus on growing that community in order to increase the families we’re able to help.

Serving patients in Arizona-based medical centers.

We currently partner with Banner University Medical Center Phoenix and HonorHealth Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center to provide financial assistance to families in need. Our partnerships are what keep the Tom Bajo Endowment successful in its mission. Our goal is to provide this type of family assistance to all the ICUs in the state of Arizona reaching as many of the over 1,800 ICU patients, as needed.
