Tom and materialism couldn’t be more distant friends. He valued a simple life with functional clothes—most aptly suited for his kayaking and mountain biking adventures. He was known in the hospital for his funky colored space shoes. In the spirit of something different, the family held a charitable auction auctioning off some of his simple belongings—  with 100% of the proceeds benefitting the Tom Bajo Endowment.
